How to Gain Access to the HSI Platform (External Users)
All integrated facilities across Ontario are invited to access the HSI platform. The resources at any particular facility are at the discretion of their facility's leadership team and decision makers.
All external users require an ONE® ID account to access the HSI Platform.
If you are a first time user of HSI:
Follow the steps below to gain access.
Phase |
Steps to Completion |
ONE® ID Set Up
|
- Contact your facility's ONE® ID LRA and request that a ONE® ID account be created or updated.
- Specify what you need access to on the HSI Platform, see HSI and ONE® ID User Profiles for details
- Complete any applicable ONE® ID set up (you may receive an email with ONE® ID set up instructions)
Note: Users requiring access to multiple facilities, will repeat the above steps for each facility.

HSI User Registration |
Ontario Health syncs ONE® ID updates to the HSI platform at 12 a.m. and 12 p.m. each day. Wait for the sync to occur to complete the registration steps below.
- Log into the HSI platform
- Go to https://hsi.ontariohealth.ca
- Click the ONE® ID button
- Log in with your ONE® ID username and password
- If prompted, select the appropriate HSI profile and click Continue (This option is available if you have access to multiple facilities.)
- Complete the Welcome Wizard:
- Read and acknowledge the End User License Agreement (EULA,)
- Select the dashboard(s) you need access to from the list, and
- Enter profile details.
- Registration is complete.
- Access to dashboard(s) will remain in a pending status until your facility's HSI Facility Role Administrator (FRA) approves your request. While you wait you have the option to tour a fictitious surgery dashboard.
Note: Users requesting multi-facility access must wait for each facility's HSI FRA to approve or reject.
- Access to the HSI Facility Administration Tool (FRAT) is auto-granted to HSI FRAs via ONE® ID enrollment and available the next time you login to HSI.
|
HSI FRA Action |
The HSI FRA must approve or reject access for all first time dashboard users.
|
If you are an existing HSI dashboard user and require access to:
- Additional dashboards, contact your HSI FRA to add/edit profile(s) to your HSI access.
- Become a HSI FRA, contact your ONE® ID LRA to enroll your ONE® ID account with the HSI - Role Administrator service profile. The HSI FRAT is available after the HSI Platform syncs your ONE® ID account updates at 12 a.m or 12 p.m daily.
If you are an existing HSI FRA (without ONE® ID HSI-User enrollment) and now require access to HSI dashboard(s:)
- Contact your ONE® ID LRA to enroll your ONE® ID account with the HSI - User service profile.
- Wait for the HSI Platform to sync your ONE® ID account updates (after 12 a.m or 12 p.m daily) and
- As best practice, the alternate HSI FRA should provision your access to the required HSI profile(s) using the FRAT tool.
