Workflow to Disable Access to the HSI Platform

A facility's HSI Facility Role Administrator (HSI FRAand ONE® ID LRA manage access to HSI for staff at their facility.  Below is the general workflow for disabling access.

HSI FRA Action

(mandatory)

HSI FRA to:

  1. Log into the HSI FRAT.
  2. Click the All Users button.
  3. Search for the user.
  4. Click the user’s name to open their User Information Panel.
  5. Next steps will depends on if the user:

    May need to retain some access to HSI (dashboard and/or FRAT)

i. Click Edit edit button for the role that needs to be disabled, see HSI and ONE®ID User Profiles.

ii. Change Status from Open to Closed

iii. Click the Save button save button

iv. Enter a note (i.e. reason for disabling access) and click Save, the status will change to Closed for that line

v. Repeat for any other profile(s) as required

Note: ONE® ID steps are not required for users with at least 1 dashboard related role profile (i.e., Surgery) that remains “open”.  However, if the Facility Role Administrator role profile is “closed”, ONE® ID steps would be required.

No longer requires access to all role profiles

i. Click the Revoke Facility Access link under Current Status

ii. Enter a note (i.e. reason for disabling access) and click Save.  The Current Status will change to Revoked and the status for all user roles will change to Closed.

iii. Completing ONE® ID steps will be required

ONE® ID Steps

If the user no longer requires access to all HSI facility dashboards or the the HSI FRAT (i.e., termination):

  • The facility’s ONE® ID LRA must remove the appropriate enrollment profile via the ONE® ID Identity and Access Management System promptly.
  • Ontario Health processes ONE® ID changes at 12 a.m. and 12 p.m. daily
