The Regional Cancer Program (RCP) Performance Scorecard is a collection of provincial priority indicators that are used for performance assessment of the 14 Regional Cancer Programs. The RCP Performance Scorecard is intended to include priorities from across the Clinical Cancer Programs with a focus on areas identified for quality improvement.
The indicators and their associated performance targets are set on an annual basis through the Priority and Target Setting Process. A provincial “aim” target is established for each indicator, indicating the ideal level of performance based on scientific evidence and/or clinical expert consensus. An annual improvement target is confirmed on an annual basis with clinical and regional cancer program leadership, with the intent of being ambitious but achievable for the province within the fiscal year.
The audience for the RCP Performance Scorecard includes:
The RCP Performance Scorecard provides timely quarterly reports two months after the end of each quarter. The RCP Performance Scorecard reflects the most recent 12 months of performance compared to the prior 12-month period. Data from the RCP Performance Scorecard is included in the Quarterly Performance Review (QPR) Reports, with corresponding discussions on performance issues and quality improvement efforts discussed through QPR meetings between OH and RCP teams.
Please refer to the Indicator Methodology within the RCP Performance Scorecard dashboard for details on Methodology. Please note that the Methodology is assessed annually and may change from year to year.
