About the Vascular Report

The Vascular Report provides an overview of vascular system performance in the province. The Report is used to:

Monitor trends of vascular procedure volumes and outcomes.
Support current-state assessments of Ontario’s vascular care system and comparisons with historical performance.
Support the vascular Quality, Performance, Measurement and Monitoring (QPMM) process to drive iterative quality improvements in vascular care.

Content

The Vascular Report is divided into five chapters. All chapters include data at the fiscal year. For the most recent fiscal year, where full-year data are not available, results for the fiscal year will be presented as year-to-date (YTD). The population-based indicator chapter will have data at the fiscal quarter, which calculates a rolling 12-month volume by summing the current fiscal quarter with the three preceding quarters, updating with each new quarter. Due to low event counts the 30-day outcome chapter has the indicators rolled up to multiple fiscal years when viewing at the Ontario Health region and hospital level.

Population based Indicators can be visualized at the provincial level and Ontario Health region, while hospital-based indicators can be visualized at the provincial level, hospital’s Ontario Health region level and hospital (facility) level.

Methodology

A technical specifications document is being developed and will be available on this page in September 2026.
