About the Diagnostic Imaging Wait Times Dashboard

The Diagnostic Imaging Wait Times Dashboard provides recent and historical data on patient wait times for MRI and CT scans. With information coming from the Wait Time Information System, the dashboard gives decision makers and planners a complete lay of the land assessment of MRI and CT scans wait times. It can be used to identify trends and performance issues at different aggregation levels (Adult and Paediatric scans with body parts scans; Priority levels; Timed and Untimed; Clinical Indications; Province, Region, Sub-Region, Facility, Site levels; monthly, quarterly and fiscal year aggregations).

Content

This report measures the following performance metrics:

First day of the month, quarter or fiscal year waitlist volume
First day of the month, quarter or fiscal year waitlist waiting over target (% and volume)
Waitlist percent change vs last
Waitlist over target percent change vs last
Completed scan volume
Completed scan within target (% and volume)
Completed scan over target (volume)
Completed scan percent change vs last year
Number of cases added to the waitlist
Number of cases cancelled
Throughput ratio (Completed and/or Cancelled cases / Cases Added to the waitlist)
Number of scanner (Count of MRI / CT machines)
Wait 2 wait times – Wait time between order received date and scan date (average and 90th percentile)
